Dales pale ale was one of the first pale ales i ever had, when i first tried it about 6 years ago i didn’t like it and i haven’t had it since. So now that my tastes are a bit more refined i’m gonna give it another shot
Dales pale ale is a ale that aims to please, its got a really good helping of hops, and a thickness that does it wonders. The hops are really quite fantastic, they have a real Colorado hop taste to them. The other great thing about this beer is the hops are balanced out, so theres no horrible dry bitterness to this one, just a small amount of dryness blended out by some mild malts. The thickness about this beer is something i love too, Oscar Blues also makes another beer called ‘old chub’ that also has a fantastic amount of thickness to the brew. The thickness works great with this pale ale, you get the hop flavor but you get more of an amber thickness. I can’t beleave how wrong i was about this beer, this is easily one of our state’s best pale ales. Another great thing about this beer is at nearly 7% alc rating, your getting bang for your buck as well.
