Smithwicks by Guinness

This Irish ale will catch you off guard the first time you taste it. Its a light beer thats most dominant flavor is well the taste that you get in most Irish Beers. Its hard to describe the taste, its like a mixture of stout and whiskey, i think thats the closest i can get to discribeing it accurately. Theres a pretty decent amount of thickness. The other taste that i get, that i dislike, is that higher quality grainy taste like Budwiser. Its hardly there but it comes out sometimes here and there, its kind of odd, but the Irish flavor basically completely covers it for the most part. This is a pretty damn good authentic Irish beer, its actually a pretty good alternative to Guinness if your looking for a more mainstream Irish beer.
