This is a really nice English stout. Its a mixture of a nice chocolatey stout and a Scottish ale from what i can taste. The aftertaste is totally dominated by a Scottish ale aftertaste, however the primary taste is really thick and nice, and really chocolatey. This beer also has a great texture, its really sliky but thick. Its really not as stouty as you’d think though, it doesn’t have that strong irish stout flavor its much more smooth, it lacks the strong stout flavor i would assossiate with most stouts, its almost more like a porter. This is a fantastic balanced stout that will please. This is a shineing example of brewing in the UK.
